Course Number & Title: SPN1120C, Elementary Spanish Language & Civilization I
Description: Spring 2019 Course Redesign: Collaboration with colleague, Anne Prucha, and instructional designer, Jessica Tojo, in redesigning SPN1120C and SPN1121C utilizing adaptive learning through Realizeit and Open Educational Resources (OER) materials. Goals: Increase completion rates and improve student success and retention
Impact: “There is always a struggle to connect in our online courses in many cases, even when we are using all of the amazing strategies we have been taught. A tool like Realizeit helps us identify pockets of need early on, leading us – as instructors – to attend to our classes in a way that is much more effective.” – Kacie Tartt
