This month, the Video@CDL team launched production of Phase IV of their Emmy Award-winning web series, A Break for Impact, which documents the realities of the Texas-Mexico border crisis.

For their latest shoot, video producers Christine Kane, George Lopez, and Tim Reid traveled to El Paso, Texas, joined by UCF faculty members Irene Pons from Legal Studies, Rick Brunson from Journalism, and Iryna Malendevych from Criminal Justice, as well as a group of student volunteers.

The team used interactive 360-degree video technology to capture and distribute content to online students, as part of DDL’s Digital Curriculum Innovation (DCI) Initiative
