Yellowdig is an online discussion tool that uses a modern social media interface to offer innovative ways for students and faculty to interact within a course. Instructors can take advantage of filters, hashtags, reactions, and analytics to facilitate community engagement.
It takes the pressure off discussion posts because the environment is more relaxed. You have the freedom to be more casual and use examples that relate to our current society, but it also correlates with the material we are learning.

If you decide to participate in the spring pilot, you’ll have access to tech support from YellowDig and pedagogical guidance from your Instructional Designer, the iLab, and our co-lead, Dr. Aimee Denoyelles.
