Hello TOPkit community! Whether you’ve just joined the community or been with us for years, we’re happy you’ve chosen to join our mission of fostering a culture of quality online education. TOPkit empowers faculty development professionals doing work related to digital learning through critical resources and events.

TOPkit also aims to encourage dialogue around faculty development, and we’re happy to announce a revitalization of our TOPkit Community of Practice, which will now be called “The TOPkit Community” on Discord.

We’re very excited about this update, and hope you are, too! This Discord channel will carry forward the major themes of the website: 1) ways to plan 2) ways to develop 3) ways to evaluate. So, as new content pages are submitted and created, we will boost them through our social media channels, including Discord, and announcements in the TOPkit Digest. Also, as themes of interest emerge, we will work to engage our community on these topics to better equip those who work in this arena in a more ‘real-time,’ conversational way. If you’ve ever used Slack or other instant messaging services, you’ll likely find Discord to be a similar experience. Tag your friends, use voice and video to catch up on the latest news . . . the possibilities are vast! |
In the coming weeks, you’ll see more activity from us on Discord, as we begin to establish our virtual presence through “The TOPkit Community.” Please join our Discord community and say hello! You might also enjoy perusing the channels from the 2021 TOPkit Workshop, where you’ll find slides and other resources from our featured speakers and presenters along with some light dialogue on the workshop themes.
Lastly, if you have any interest in serving as a Channel Administrator, please contact us at topkit@ucf.edu, and we’ll be in touch! We’d love to moderate this server as a collective.
Have a great day! Connect with us on Discord, Twitter, Facebook.
