In this issue, you will notice our banner that was re-designed. It is a commemoration act, as it has been over a year since this newsletter was first published. We are refreshing our brand as well as our commitment to you. iDev is here for you, to keep you informed, and to inspire you with resources and tips to fully utilize Webcourses@UCF for your Special Programs course.

In a previous issue of The Special, we addressed the different enrollment methods available for Special Programs courses. In this issue, we are highlighting a popular option, the Enrollment Tool, in our Video Tip below.

Learn how to use the Special Programs Enrollment Tool to automatically enroll students in your course. This enrollment tool allows you to enroll, conclude, remove individual users, and update users enrollment status all at once using a bulk enrollment option.

The next Canvas production update, scheduled for April 15th, focuses primarily on New Quizzes. 

An organized course sets the student up for a successful experience. This starts with your course navigation menu, which is found on the left side of your course. Are there unnecessary links displayed in your course? Unused menu options clutter up the navigation bar and may cause confusion. Some navigation links are there for your use and students don’t see them.

To check, click the Student View button to review your course layout and navigation as students see the course. If there are links students don’t need, go to the Navigation tab in Settings to disable the links that don’t need to be there.

You’re invited to the inaugural Digital Learning Day on Friday, April 14th, which will be held in person at the UCF Fairwinds Alumni Center and with a remote attendance option. Lunch is provided for those attending in person. Register by the Friday, April 7th deadline.
