Welcome to the first issue of The Special, the newsletter designed to inform and inspire you in all things special programs. Special Programs are non-academic, non-credit courses in Webcourses@UCF created for the purpose of providing professional development, academic support, or online orientation for UCF faculty, staff, and students.
As we approach the conclusion of 2021 and look forward to 2022, we'd like to wish you warm holiday greetings and introduce our latest project: a newsletter dedicated to special programs course creators. The intention of this newsletter is to provide news and information related to special programs such as:
Webcourses@UCF updates that will affect special programs courses
Reminders about special programs courses
Where to find support for special programs courses
Useful tips and best practices to enhance your special programs courses
We invite you to take our survey to let us know what kind of content you'd like to receive. Your feedback will help shape the type of content provided and how often it goes out. Your input is a vital part of establishing this newsletter.
You are receiving this newsletter because you have been identified as a special programs course owner. If you've ever requested a special programs course or connected with the Instructional Development (iDev) team because of a special programs course, you've been automatically subscribed to our newsletter.
