Panopto Retention Policy Reminder
Dear Faculty, As we near the end of the semester, it is important to archive Panopto content that you may need for future use. Fall 2020 Panopto course folders are scheduled to be removed on Wednesday, December 16th, to avoid any conflicts with the start of the Spring 2021 semester. Lectures will not be recoverable once removed. Please be aware that students completing a course late (Incomplete) will NOT have access to recorded lectures unless they have been archived. |
Archiving and Private Folders
If you have recordings that you would like to save for later use, you may archive them in your private folder within Panopto. For assistance with this process, or to have a private folder created, please contact your college Panopto Administrator, or send an email to the Faculty Multimedia Center (FMC@ucf.edu). |
Training Opportunities
For anyone who is new to Panopto or would simply like a refresher, we encourage you to enroll in Panopto Essentials, or to attend a virtual workshop hosted by our knowledgeable Panopto administrators here at CDL. For more information, please contact the Faculty Multimedia Center at the email listed above. |
Continued Access to Panopto
Lastly, for those who completed training for one-time use of Panopto in the fall, we hope that it was an effective and impactful tool for you and your students. If you plan to use Panopto in Spring 2021, have previously completed training, but you do not have the ability to enable the “Video Lecture Capture” option in Faculty Webcourses Manager, please use the Panopto Essentials form to request that it is manually added to your course(s).
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Webcourses@UCF Support.
Thank you, Center for Distributed Learning (407) 823-0407 webcourses@ucf.edu |
