PANOPTO RETENTION
POLICY REMINDER

Dear Faculty,

As we near the end of the semester, it is important to archive Panopto content that you may need for future use. Fall 2021 Panopto course folders are scheduled to be removed on Wednesday, December 15th, to avoid any conflicts with the start of the Spring 2022 semester. Lectures will not be easily recoverable once removed. Please be aware that students completing a course late (Incomplete) will NOT have access to recorded lectures unless they have been archived.

Archiving and Private Folders

If you have recordings that you would like to save for later use, you may archive them in your private folder within Panopto. For assistance with this process, or to have a private folder created, please contact your college Panopto Administrator, or send an email to the Faculty Multimedia Center (FMC@ucf.edu).

Training Opportunities

For anyone who is new to Panopto or would simply like a refresher, we encourage you to enroll in Panopto Essentials or request a workshop from the Faculty Multimedia Center (FMC) where you have the opportunity to speak with a Panopto administrator from the university. Reach out to the FMC (FMC@ucf.edu) if you have any questions on how to book an appointment.

Continued Access to Panopto

We hope that Panopto has been an effective and impactful tool for you and your students. If you plan to use Panopto again in an upcoming semester, have previously completed training, but do not have the ability to enable the “Video Lecture Capture” option in the Faculty Webcourses Manager, please contact Webcourses@UCF Support.
