Fall 2019 DL CRI
Community Workshop Cohort Meetings

Whether you have already completed your course redesign project or if you're still working on your course redesign, you are and always will be part of our Digital Learning Course Redesign community.

We are reaching out to invite you to the Fall 2019 DL CRI Community Workshop Cohort Meetings cohosted by FCTL, CDL, and the iLab. Even if you have already completed your CRI project, you may find these meetings helpful as you continue to tweak and improve your new course design. These informal, optional meetings are strategically scheduled throughout the semester to help support faculty before, during, and after the redesign process. For DLI7836 participants, attending at least three of these meetings is required to complete the DLI training requirements.

Please mark your calendar for the following dates:

• September 6, 2-4 pm: Student Accessibility Services
• September 27, 2-4 pm: Lessons Learned and the Faculty Multimedia Center
• October 18, 9-11 am: DL CRI Summative Course Review Preparation
• October 22, 9-11 am: Student Development and Enrollment Services  

The goals for these sessions are to provide ideas and resources for student success strategies as well as an opportunity to build a community of practice with faculty outside of their department. We will host these meetings in the Active Learning Sandbox (room 220) in the Classroom 1 Building. Light refreshments will also be provided.

Each session will focus on a topic related to student success resources with expert visitors and active learning activities in addition to community building time where faculty can share challenges and ideas with other faculty who are also actively working on a digital course redesign. The second half of each session will be guided work time where Webcourses Support team members will be present to show faculty new tools or help troubleshoot any technical challenges while working on their new course design.

Please note that the system is currently set-up so that individuals will have to sign up for each individual session one-at-a-time. We hope you will sign up for all of the sessions. In the invitation email, click on the "Register Now" button to go to the Eventbrite page. Then, on the right select the date of a session you would like to attend and click "Register." Once you have finished registering, if you would like to attend another session you will have to go back to the Eventbrite page (you can click the "Register Now" button from the original email invitation again) to select a new date to register for that session.
