Templates Updated in Templater Tool
The Templater tool in Webcourses@UCF makes it easy to add common content to any Webcourses@UCF course page. The template are easy to use and come with highlighted directions. Once imported, the content can be modified to meet the needs of the course. As the semester begins, check out the Syllabus and Interactive Syllabus templates. Both syllabus templates include language that ensures you are including the most crucial and up-to-date information. The Interactive Syllabus includes a Table of Content and accordion formatting for the length policy statements. Also updated is the Module Introduction template, which guides faculty to clearly connect student learning objectives to the pertinent course materials and activities for the module.

What's New with Webcourses@UCF?
This weekend's update will include the following changes or new features
- File Attachment Default - In Discussions, the option for students to add file attachments is now enabled by default. If preferred, instructors can disable the option for students to add attachments in Course Settings or the Discussions Settings menu.
- Account Menu LTI Navigation Links - Any user with an account that included LTI tool navigation links in their User Settings page will also view the links in their User Navigation Account Menu. This behavior helps users access these LTI tools more quickly without having to open the User Settings page.

- Breakout Rooms - Canvas Conferences supports breakout rooms as conference groups. This feature allows instructors to place students into groups for team collaboration during a conference. Breakout rooms can be created at any time during the conference. A minimum of two breakout rooms are required, and the moderator can create up to 8 rooms. Breakout rooms can either be assigned by the moderator manually or randomly, or attendees can choose which breakout room to join.
- Closed Captioning - Canvas Conferences supports live closed captioning. This feature allows a stenographer join a conference as an observer and provide live captioning to attendees. Moderators can set up a page for closed captions to be written during the conference. When selected, the interface asks for the selected language.
