As the Center for Distributed Learning (CDL) worked towards transitioning Webcourses@UCF (Canvas) from Classic Quizzes to New Quizzes, it was evident to CDL’s LMS Services and our LMS vendor (Instructure) there were still some missing features and functionality needing to be incorporated into the tool to make this a successful transition for faculty, staff, and students. Because of this, CDL will halt our current migration timeline giving our vendor more time to meet the needs of the UCF community. Our current plan is to reassess the Quizzing platform at the beginning of 2024 to determine if updates are substantial enough for us to resume the migration. We will continue to keep you abreast of any changes to the tool and our timeline during the upcoming year. What does this mean for faculty using Webcourses@UCF? This change means that you have more time to transition to New Quizzes without the looming deadline. We will still encourage you to test New Quizzes in your course to become more familiar with the new features and functionality. We will also encourage you to continue to provide us with feedback so we can share it with our vendor to ensure a smoother transition. What if I have already migrated? For those who are currently using New Quizzes, you can continue to use the tool without any disruptions. How should I share my feedback? The best way to share your feedback is to send an email to webcourses@ucf.edu detailing the issue or feature request for New Quizzes.
