Because we understand the amount of thoughtfulness and care that goes into selecting learning materials for each course you prepare, we’ve teamed up with other state universities and colleges in Florida to celebrate your achievements through a recognition program called *Affordability Counts*.
The main purpose of this program is to tangibly recognize faculty who go the extra mile to make their learning materials more affordable. If your course qualifies, not only will you receive a digital medallion, but your course(s) will also be placed in Affordability Counts' public-facing database for students and faculty to reference as they prepare for each new academic term. |
Please review the submission criteria and additional information to see if your course(s) qualify. (Alternatively, you can ‘submit your course’ directly for review if you believe it meets the basic definition of *required* course materials that cost less than $20 per credit hour, per course).
Qualifying faculty will receive three items:
- An Affordability Counts digital medallion to place in their course or syllabus
- A digital certificate of recognition
- An invitation to be honored at the AIM High recognition event in Spring 2020.
The AIM High recognition event will convene to commemorate faculty members who have helped students save money through a variety of programs, such as First Day, OER Grant publications, and Affordability Counts. Faculty recognition awards and additional information about affordable materials and impact on student access and success will also be shared at this event.
