It’s that time of year again where we begin to wind down our spring semester courses and wrap up our plans for the coming months. The past year has been a difficult time for all of us and we thank you for doing your best to ensure the students at UCF receive a high quality, affordable education. With that mind, we know that course material selections for Fall 2021 are right around the corner and many of you are choosing materials not only based on content, but cost. Since 2016, UCF faculty members have saved students over $11 million in instructional materials and textbooks. This monumental feat was accomplished through programs like First Day, Open Educational Resources, and Affordability Counts. Affordability Counts is a statewide recognition program that acknowledges courses whose materials cost $20 or less per credit hour per semester.
