If a new proposal window opens, details will be posted here as soon as they are available.\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you for your interest in the <a href=\"https:\/\/digitallearning.ucf.edu\/ilab\/dci\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Digital Curriculum Innovation<\/a> (DCI) initiative. As a reminder, DCI is funded by the distance learning fee reserves through the DDL Strategic Innovation Fund. Only online courses taught by <a href=\"https:\/\/cdl.ucf.edu\/teach\/professional-development\/credentials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IDL credentialed or equivalent<\/a> faculty will be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this time, a new DCI cycle has not been announced. If a new proposal window opens, the details will be posted here as soon as they are available. The information posted below is an archive of the 2023-2024 cycle for reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be distance learning (DL)-eligible <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/cdl.ucf.edu\/support\/student\/modalities\/\" target=\"_blank\">courses (W, RS, V)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team of 2-3 teaching faculty members\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teams can include up to 2 additional non-teaching faculty or staff members from CDL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teams can consist of members across disciplines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each team must identify a project lead.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The lead will be the primary contact for all communications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The lead will coordinate all team activities from goal setting to producing project deliverables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum number of course sections to be implemented in is 2-3 (depending on team size)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Listing the names and courses of additional teaching faculty members who will implement your innovation project in their courses would strengthen your proposal <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The submission form will include questions regarding:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-columns gb-layout-columns-2 gb-2-col-wideleft\"><div class=\"gb-layout-column-wrap gb-block-layout-column-gap-2 gb-is-responsive-column\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-column gb-block-layout-column\"><div class=\"gb-block-layout-column-inner\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>List of courses and semesters the project deliverables will be implemented<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proposed budget with general explanation of funding allocation\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>faculty incentive allocations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>course assistant(s) supplement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>additional expenses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problem statement and proposed solution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specific deliverables must be identified<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstration of impact, such as estimated number of students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify anticipated resources needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plans for evaluation\/continuous improvement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Letter of support from department chair or dean<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-column 901w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Priority Items<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Priority will be given to <a href=\"https:\/\/cdl.ucf.edu\/teach\/pal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Personalized Adaptive Learning<\/a> (PAL) and any innovation project that leads to a&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/academicsuccess.ucf.edu\/hip\/\" target=\"_blank\">High Impact Practice<\/a>&nbsp;(HIP) designation for DL-eligible courses.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To increase student access at scale, priority will also be given to team-based proposals that demonstrate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A collaborative team project with 2-3 faculty members who teach courses in sequence, within the same program, or address an interdisciplinary need.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A clear instructional challenge and intervention aimed at increasing student success.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A potential for large-scale impact (e.g., high enrollment courses, high DFW rates, adoption by other faculty outside of the project team).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submission Form<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Only the Team lead or a designated member of the team needs to submit your proposal.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"color:#ddd\"
